I know you better than you think
I know a lot about your past
And why you wear a mask

You may deceive with your disguise
And you may buy yourself some time
Until the end of time

To yourself, your reflection tells a lie
Look inside, there's a dark side that you hide
I make my presence felt
I will not be ignored

Just like an open sore
I help to hurt it more

I am the wound that will not heal
I am the secret you conceal
I am the truth you can't reveal

You thought I might forget
Vanish without a trace
Just when you least expect then I will show my face

I am the witness to the crime
I am the track you left behind
I am the setback in your plans
I am the blood upon your hands

You tried to bury me
But I came back to life
Now you must carry me
Until the day you die
Until you die

I am the bed in which you sleep
I am forever yours to keep

21st-Nov-2007 12:24 am - Don't Walk Away
Today I flew.
And when I look into your eyes I see the hurt and the confusion
The pain as it rolls down your face
And the questions in your mind
And I know, 'cause I've been there
Yes, I know, 'cause I've been there, time and time again
And don't you walk, don't you walk away
'Cause He will never desert you
He'll never let you down
Don't walk away from Him, no, no, no, no, no
You're always telling me that you don't need to change
That you're fine with who you are
When I look at you, I see you filling your life with all that you can find
Hoping and wishing this world can bring you
A little peace of mind
Well, stop looking, 'cause He's right in front of your eyes
'Cause He will never give up on you today
No, don't walk away
'Cause He'll never let you go No, no, no, no
Don't walk away
Don't walk away
'Cause He'll never let you go today
Don't walk away from Him

Our Walk Should Match Our Walk
Matthew 7:21 reads 21"Not all people who sounds religious are really godly. They may refer to me as 'Lord,' but they still won't enter the Kingdom of Heaven. The decisive issue is whether they obey my Father in heaven. 22On judgment day many will tell me, ' Lord, Lord, we prophesied in your name and cast out demons in your name and performed many miracles in your name.' 23But I will reply, 'I never knew you. Go away; the things you did were unauthorized.*'

Footnotes:

* 7:23 Or unlawful.

In this verse, Jesus gets down to the heart of every person's belief. He states that calling him 'Lord' is not enough to get into heaven. That is because anyone can say the word but not mean it. What counts is a person's changed life--a life of obedience to God's will, and only His will. Even if something is absolutely pleasing to us, it doesn't mean it's according to His will or the plan He had for our life.

Regarding the life as a believer of Christ, it has been said, "It is not how high you can jump that matters, but how straight you can walk when you hit the ground again." You may be able to say all of the "right things," but if your faith does not impact the way live, it is meaningless--even offensive. In truth, you do not have a real intimate relationship with God. The majority of time we really crawl back to God, is when we're in need and we can't handle anymore until He helps us, then we walk away from Him, again.

An engraving on a cathedral wall in Germany bears these soul-searching words:
Thus speaketh Christ our Lord to us,
"You call me Master and obey me not;
You call me light and see me not;
You call me the Way and walk me not;
You call me life and live me not;
You call me wise and follow me not;
You call me fair and love me not;
You call me rich and ask me not;
You call me eternal and seek me not;
If I condemn you, blame me not."

The more we learn about God has done for us, the more we wll want to know what we can do for Him. In addition, our motives will come from a pure heart, not from selfish ambition. God is looking for genuine believers whose walk matches their talk. Can you [and I] be counted as one?

A quick update on my doctor appointment: It went fine. She checked the lesion and dotted the area that I found suspicious with a surgical pen, then had the nurse take digital pictures of the area for the records. The doctor filled out all the important consultation forms, so... she wants me to call her scheduler next week, since she's out of town. She wants me scheduled in for surgery within the month. Praise God. Please continue to pray for me, Justin, and mom--whether this is cancer again or just the beginning stages.
